Gros Morne - A Day That Did Not Go As Planned

 Aug 26

Headed up the coast to explore other parts of Gros Morne.

Stopped at Southeast Brook Falls and was met by this
And this guided meditation

Stopped along side of the road to fill our tanks from this spring- thank you Percie

Lobster Cove Lighthouse
Arrived at Western Brook Pond and walked the 3km to the boat dock for our 3pm tour

Our boat coming in
We begin our voyage
But it is not to be, after 15 minutes we had to turn back due to engine trouble. We were offered either a refund or a rebooking at 4 tomorrow. We chose the latter but many did not have that flexibility, including the lovely couple and their two teens that shared seating with us. Enjoyed chatting with one of the moms about how she moved from the states to Newfoundland. Was hopeful her path to employment would be available to some of my friends who are lgbtq, but probably not.

Found a lovely site on a grassy shore overlooking the Gulf of St Lawrence
