Driving along the Cabot Trail

Woke to 3 goldfinch singing in the tree

Drove to Sydney to do laundry. Chatted with the locals about the US presidential race. Laundry finished we drove out to the Cabot Trail to begin our way around the island. 

Stopped for lunch at Little River Harbor.

Stopped at the Cape Breton Highlands National Park visitors Centre - pride flags are everywhere in NS!

Hiked the Freshwater Lake trail

So many stairs! 200!

Took a long, bumpy, winding road to Meat Cove for the night
