Sussex Downey Ford Dealership

 6/16 -6/26/24

It was a long boring week 11 days as we waited for the necessary parts and the window that they could get the repair done in. We mostly sat in their lobby and caught up on all things internet, read, knit a bit, and played games on our phones. The staff was wonderfully friendly and so kind.  A few times we used their loaner car to go into Sussex to eat out or do laundry. In the eves we spent the night in the van in their parking lot. We ate up the perishables the first few days before the batteries died. Fortunately they encouraged us to plug into the building at night so we didn’t lose everything, but we did not want to replenish veggies in case they weren’t able to fix it. On Friday they stated that they weren’t sure they could - that what they would try on Monday only had a fifty fifty chance of working. It was a very sad day for me as I looked into places that could ship our van home - at the cost of $4000. Luckily they were able to drill into it straight and the helicoil held. We had to wait 24 hours for it to cure before we drove it.

Here are murals that are all over the town.
