6/1/24 - 6/7/24
We were meeting up with Elise and Steve in the evening and, since it was such a beautiful day, we went to walk the cliff walk in Newport, RI.
Spent after our 3+ mile walk in the sun we sought the shade of Roger Williams Park for a brief nap followed by exploration of those grounds.
We met up with Elise and Steve, had a wonderful dinner and pastries the next morning before driving across the border into Massachusetts and my Aunt and Uncle’s home.
Had a nice relaxing day with Peg and Ken and, although I once again did not take photos, had a lovely Monday morning when my Aunt Inez, Uncle Tommy, and Aunt Lorraine came by for tea. Next door neighbor friends Kate and Matthew came over for a dinner cookout. Tuesday morning we had breakfast at Francesca’s with Irma, a high school friend.
We drove down to the Cape and while I worked at the delightful Chatham Library
Matthew wandered the streets of Chatham
We drove to Lighthouse Beach to make dinner
And then drove to Reenie’s - another high school friend - where we were met by her begging squirrel
Next morning we drove to East Falmouth to have breakfast with Anne Mitchell, who I haven’t seen in over 40 years. As with other high school friends, it was great to catch up
Our visit of libraries continues with the Providence Library
We hung out at Governor John Notte Memorial Park for a bit before going to visit with my Aunt Kate her grandson, my cousin Krystal’s son, Logan.
