The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world - rising the equivalent of a 5 story building every 12 hours. Today we drove along the coast on the Fundy Trail. Unfortunately it was foggy and rainy, but it was still amazing.

Such cool rocks

We met up with another couple, Harriet and Kerry, whom we had run into several times since the St Martins Sea Caves, when they asked us about the van, so decided to hike down to the Walton Glen Gorge Falls together
First Lady[s Slipper I’ve seen in years, and there were several of them along the hike
Walton Glen Gorge is considered the Grand Canyon of New Brunswick
Said goodbye to our new friends and headed out of the park with a Moncton Boon-dockers Welcome host site, but suddenly we heard/felt a loud bang and a loud tat-tat-tat noise. I immediately pulled over, thinking we blew a tire, but instead it was coming from the engine. An off duty park ranger stopped to check on us and , as there were fluids leaking, offered to follow us to Sussex, the nearest biggish town. We limped along the 22 kilometers to the Sussex Ford dealership and bunked down for the weekend, since, of course, it was Saturday night. Sunday was beautiful with clear skies, but we stayed in the van since we didn’t have permission to be in the lot and didn’t want to bring attention to ourselves. Today, Monday, they looked at the van and diagnosed a blown spark plug. We await the repair as they figure out how to fix this 23 year old beast. They have been so nice, even giving us a loner so we could grab some lunch and offering it to us overnight while we camp yet again in their back lot - with their permission this time.
