7/20/23 - 7/21/23
We said goodbye to Kriss and Gary after Matthew left them with a freshly baked sourdough loaf as a thank you.
At Ellie's recommendation, we went to Panama Rocks. So glad we did!
Roots on the path
Another interesting root in the path
Natural formation that was used as a oven by native peoples
Inside the oven
Damage done by the Emerald Ash Borer which has destroyed tens of millions of Ash trees
Chaga Mushroom - we first heard of this and its medicinal qualities in Fairbanks Alaska when we tried some Chaga tea
Jon loved exploring the van (excuse the mess)
Out for yummy pizza.
In the morning Matthew taught Xanda how to make sourdough and left her with some starter
Time to say goodbye
Jon had other ideas
Crossed into Canada
And spent the night at this brewery and imbibed in tasty beer while Matthew had a very long conversation with a fellow traveler.
