Whalebones and Mary’s Harbour

Decided to hike to the whale bones but first to a wing tien and ended up on someone's property

But they had a beautiful potato garden

Found the correct path for the Boney Shore Walking Trail

And found the whale bones left from the 16th century Basque whaling industry

Back in the road

To Mary's Harbour - love the painted trash cans

Sign listing the original families of the town

And had to hike to the waterfall of course - lived these rocks on the way

Colors are arriving

The brown patch ahead and to the right is the airstrip runway

Ski-do sled on the next hill

Post office add on to a private residence

Local gas station

The road to Cartwright

At the Cartwright gas station/ convenience store

And siding everywhere

Spent the night in a quarry lot
